PSF Sunday June 19, 2022 report:
... and we have a repeat of stunning yesterday... A steady flow of traffic out of Jindabyne at 6:45. Moving nicely as nobody needs to stop to put on or drive slowly with snow chains this morning. The sun is rising. We have had a freeze overnight and there is low cloud shrouding the lake and on the road on the way up. We are in for another sunny day with temperatures due to max out at 5° which will soften the hard packed snow, which follows a freeze. .. probably at around 11 a.m... The toboggan run (see pic) groomed and waiting for the masses but seriously wait until the snow melts a bit as it will be slicking fast and is awesome as our local doctors are, you probably don't want to end up in the medical center. It's hard as a rock The car park will fill up and go into overflow again. Ski Tube is your option if you don't want to be eating your pop tarts in the carpark at sparrows ... This is going to be our norm on weekends and certainly during the school holidays, but what's better than getting up early to greet the sun right? Great news is that we are expecting more snow come Tuesday to add to our already excellent base of 118 cm.
