PSL Snow Report
Daily PSL report for Thursday August 4 2022
"Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening me, Gallileo!" Freddy Mercury would have been electrifying last night and this morning as lightning flashes over the mountains and the heavy predicted rain drives down to earth (45mm so far). We are in an "extreme weather warning" . A very wet, stormy day today and a very, very wet snowpack.
Thredbo resort is closed today...Perisher resort remains open with warnings that lifts and areas may close due high wind and lightning.
It really is not a good day to venture up the hill...I know some hardy holidaymakers feel they have no choice as these were their only days....please, take all care!.
Let's think positive, however, the models are still saying we will get a good amount of snow tomorrow... Jane Bunn predicts 20-50cm fri to sun down to 1700m and lower tomorrow.
( This is called the sandwich approach of delivering bad news. We put the yucky filling in between two very sweet slices of bread)
"Tomorrow, tomorrow I love ya tomorrow you're only a day away"
