Anthony Cornelius Meteorologist forecast
Cold, Frosty Night Ahead for NSW, Vic & Southern Queensland!
We've had some chilly nights already this autumn, but tomorrow morning will feel like winter has definitely arrived! Several days of cold fronts have swept increasing amounts of cold, dry air into large parts of eastern Australia. Tonight that's likely to bring widespread frosts across the NSW ranges - with isolated to scattered frosts occurring further inland into the slopes and plains. Some of those frosts will even extend into the Darling Downs of Southeast Queensland!
In Victoria, the winds should ease tonight though are still likely to remain elevated for a day or two yet, so frosts should be more localised (and more so over northeastern areas) there.
For people like me who reside in Southeast Queensland it will be quite a shock after the spring like warmth and humidity that helped bring unseasonably stormy conditions for May earlier this week.
I've included an OCF forecast minimum temperatures chart for tomorrow morning. Any shading of purple/pink is temperatures below 0C, while dark blue is temperatures close to 0C 🥶🥶🥶
